PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device and an image forming device which prevent a defect of image fixing to a synthetic resin plate by making the length in the endlessly moving direction of a fixing member surface longer than that in the carrying direction of the synthetic resin plate. SOLUTION: A length Lh in the peripheral direction as the endlessly moving direction of a heat roll 8a is so set that it may be longer than a length Ld in the carrying direction of a synthetic resin plate D. A width Wh in the axial direction of the roll surface of the heat roll is so set that it may be longer than a width Wd in the axial direction with respect to the carrying direction of the synthetic resin plate. While an image is fixed on the surface of one synthetic resin plate, the same position on the heat roll surface is not brought into contact with the synthetic resin plate twice or more, and the heating temperature at a fixing nip can be kept at a temperature required for heat fixing.
