PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel unit for transporting heavy weights and others capable of easily making change of the transporting direction and easily establishing possibility of straight running. SOLUTION: Heavy duty wheels 28 and 30 are rotatably borne by two independent axles 24 and 26 provided separately on one axis perpendicularly intesecting the running direction, and coupling and separation are made for clutch members 32 and 34 mounted at the ends of the confronting axles 24 and 26 in movement at the coupling member 35 being operated by an operating means 38, and thereby change of the transporting direction is conducted easily.
