PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of correctly mounting a sheet feed tray for paper sheets and easily pulling out unprinted paper sheets from the sheet feed tray even in the case of a long space between an insert opening of the sheet tray of the printer body and the leading edge stopper of the sheet tray. SOLUTION: This loading device is provided with a sheet tray 74 having a sheet support surface 92 and a sheet edge registration surface 94 and a removable sheet holder 10 having a lower panel 26 coming into contact with the sheet support surface 92. The holder forms a sheet container on the upper side of the lower panel, and is provided with a side opening opposite to the registration surface 94.
