PURPOSE: To provide a contents management method that can automatically eliminate contents which users are not interested in. CONSTITUTION: In a step S1, contents of a virtual channel scheduled in the past are extracted, one of the contents among them is selected in a step S2, when it is discriminated that the contents are not in a reproduction available state in a step S3, the processing proceeds to a step S7, and when it is decided that the contents are in a reproduction available state, it is decided whether or not the corresponding contents have already been subjected to future n-times scheduling (sufficient number of times as view opportunities) in a step S4. When the number of times is less than n-times in a step S5, the contents are assigned in future as succeeding scheduling. When the number of times reaches n-times, the contents are set to a deletion schedule state in a step S6. When it is discriminated that the processing of all the extracted contents is not finished in the step S7, the processing returns to the step S2, and when discriminated completed, the processing is terminated. |
