The plasterboard is surfaced with a lining paper that is printed over the whole of one face of the board with an ink containing binder and particulate solid material. The size of the particulate material is within 1-10 micrometers. The density of the print is such that under optical examination at least 80 percent of the surface of the lining paper is covered with the print. 50 percent of the particulate material particles have a volume smaller than a sphere with a mean diameter. The ink can contain opacifying pigment or both solid particulate material and opacifying pigment.
