PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer medium which makes it possible to produce a magnetic recording medium without any effects of distortion, deformation, crack, damage and so on upon an image, an anti-counterfeit layer provided on the magnetic recording medium and having a high accuracy in film thickness, and a magnetic recording medium obtained by a method of transferring the medium. SOLUTION: In a transfer medium formed by providing in order at least a protecting and image accepting layer 3 having a stripping property and an image acceptability to a base material, an anti-counterfeit layer 4 and an adhesive layer 5 on the base material 2 consisting of a high molecular plastic film with a melting point of 100 deg.C or higher, the protecting and image accepting layer 3 contains a vinyl chloride resin having a degree of polymerization within the range of from 600 to 2000 and a lubricant having a melting point 90 deg.C or higher of 1 to 20 wt.% to the resin component. |
