摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform properly the display of an LCD(liquid crystal display) while suppressing the consumption of battery in the standby time for photographing. SOLUTION: When a boosting circuit is turned on, the circuit outputs a boosted voltage VH having voltage 5 V in which a battery voltage VBTT is boosted as an output voltage Vout. When the boosting circuit is turned off, the output voltage Vout drops gradually from the boosted voltage VH. Under a photographing standby mode waiting for the operation of a releasing button or the like, the boosting circuit is turned on at an interval TF and it is repeatedly turned on and off. The interval TF is decided so that the density of the display of the LCD is not lowered sharply (by <=20%) when the LCD is driven with the output voltage Vout.
