PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor driver capable of effectively reducing a wide range of rotational speed fluctuation in a rotor of a photoreceptor or the like by suppressing resonance generated in a rotor driving system. SOLUTION: This rotor driver is provided with a rotary shaft 2 supporting the rotor 1 of a photoreceptor or the like and integrally rotating with the rotor, a rotary shaft pulley 3 fixed to the rotary shaft and integrally rotating with the rotary shaft, a driving shaft pulley 4 fixed to a shaft in a drive source side, a timing belt 5 suspended across the two pulleys for transmitting driving force from a drive source to the rotary shaft, a tightener 6 abutting on the timing belt for adjusting its tension, and a driving motor 7 composing the drive source. When the tension of the timing belt is T, a mass per unit length of the timing belt is m, a length of the timing belt between the two pulleys or between the pulleys and the tightener is L and a phase excitation switching frequency of the driving motor is fm, it is composed so as to satisfy a relationship of (n2T/2L2m)<fm2, (n=1, 2, 3...). |
