PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a hydrate at a higher rate than the case of producing such a hydrate without addition of any additive gas. SOLUTION: The objective arrangement for producing a hydrate has a production vessel 1 where both the temperature and pressure are set under a condition enabling the hydrate to be produced, a water feed means 3 for feeding water into the vessel 1, a feedstock gas feed means 2 for feeding a feedstock gas into the vessel 1, and an additive gas feed means 4 for feeding an additive gas into the vessel 1 so that the reaction rate for producing the hydrate caused by water and a mixed gas of the additive gas and the feedstock gas is made higher than that for producing the hydrate caused by water and the feedstock gas. The other objective method for producing such a hydrate comprises causing in the vessel 1 a reaction for producing the hydrate using water fed by the means 3, a feedstock gas fed by the means 2 and an additive gas fed by the means 4. |
