摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly precise and inexpensive steering ratio variable control device for a vehicle suppressing a return rotation angle of a steering when turning on a power supply of the vehicle at the minimum. SOLUTION: When turning on the power supply of the vehicle, a steering ratio control means (controller 19) calculates an ideal practical rotation angle calculation valueθswt of the steering at that time from a practical rotating angleθt of a steering shaft 9 at the time when detected from a steering shaft angle sensor 15. The device is provided with a correction rotation speed calculation means (controller 19) which calculates an integer n, where a value obtained by adding/subtracting integer multiplication of 360 deg. to/from the apparent steering angleθsw at that time to be detected by a steering angle sensor 17 becomes the closest value of the practical rotation angle calculation valueθswt of the steering. The steering ratio control means controls the steering ratio variable mechanism 11 based on the practical rotation angle correction valueθsw* of the steering obtained by adding a value obtained by multiplying 360 deg. by the integer n toθsw.
