PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abrasion monitoring device allowing previous detection of service life of a rolling/sliding member having a solid lubricating film, monitoring of exchange timing before its service life, and securing of reliability of machines or devices using such a rolling/sliding member. SOLUTION: A device in which robot arms 4a and 4b are oscillatingly or rotatably mounted on a joint part 2 through rolling bearings 6a and 6b, and the solid lubricating film 15 is formed on the rolling surface of the bearing is provided with a distortion gauge 16 for measuring distortion of the joint part following oscillation or rotation of the robot arms, and monitors abrasion of the solid lubricating film based on output of the distortion gauge. The abrasion of the solid lubricating film is detected by finding behavior change of an operating part following it.
