PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blower unit for a vehicle air conditioner enabling taking air in a passenger compartment for cooling a fan motor driving a fan provided in a down stream side of an evaporator. SOLUTION: In a blower unit for a vehicle air conditioner provided with an air conditioning case 3 forming an air duct, an evaporator 4 cooling air, a fan 5b generating an air flow in the air conditioning case 3, and a fan motor 5c rotationally driving the fan 5b, the fan motor 5c is housed in a cooling air duct 10 sending air to cool the fan motor 5c, and an intake port 10a taking air in a passenger compartment and an opening part 10c communicating with an upper steam side of the evaporator 4 are formed in an upper stream side and a down steam side of the fan motor 5c respectively. The fan motor 5c is cooled with air taken from the intake port 10a by suction from the opening part 10c.
