PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device having a transfer roll support mechanism which prevents rotation defects of the transfer roll and has the simple mechanism and operation for transfer roll attachment/detachment and positions and supports the transfer roll with a high accuracy and free from accidental dropout of the transfer roll. SOLUTION: A rigid guide rail 41 which supports a bearing 40 of a transfer roll 10 so that it can be vertically slid, a spring 42 which presses upward the bearing, and two bearing projecting parts 40b on the side face of the bearing are provided. A transfer frame is provided with a movement control member 43, which has a head part 43a brought into contact with bearing projecting parts from above, and ribs 44 facing each other from the outside of the member 43, and an entrance guide 23 is provided with a set claw 23a which is bent inward so as to be engaged with the head part. When the transfer roll is detached, the bearing is pressed downward to pull out the set claw, and the bearing is lifted to detach the transfer roll.
