<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide photographic photosensitive material comprising a 1,2,4-oxadiazolylazo pigment which has improved both hue clarity and, at the time, stability against light, heat, air, chemicals or the like or a compound having the skeleton of the pigment. SOLUTION: The new 1,2,4-oxadiazolylazo pigment is represented by the formula (wherein R1 is a hydrogen atom or a substitutent; and A is an atomic group necessary for the compound of the formula to form an azo pigment), and the silver halide photographic photosensitive material comprises an image- forming compound containing the azo pigment or its precursor.</p> |
