PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove toner dirt stuck to the surface of a pressure member 5, to prevent a recording material P from being wound around the pressure member, and to prevent deformation of the recording material with respect to a heater 106 and an image forming device provided with the heater 106, in which the heater 106 is constituted of a fixing member 1 provided with a heating member 3 and the pressure member 5 pressed to the fixing member 1 and heats and pressurizes toner (t) on the recording material in a nip part N between the surface of the fixing member and that of the pressure member to fix the toner on the recording material. SOLUTION: When the recording material doesn't exist in the heater in the constitution where the surface of the pressure member is deformed in the nip part between the surface of the fixing member and that of the pressure member, a period is given so that the movement speed of the surface of the fixing member has a speed difference from that of the pressure member.
