PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable attenuater filter for photographing and a photographing device such that the intensity of video signals of the subject body to be photographed can be fast and continuously controlled without changing the tone. SOLUTION: The filter contains at least one liquid crystal cell 6 containing a dichroic dye, in which fluctuation in the color temperature of the transmitted light is specified to 500 K. Two of the liquid crystal cells 6 are disposed with the alignment of each liquid crystal making an angle of 90 degrees. A voltage controlling part 11 controls the intensity of the voltage applied on the variable attenuater filter 1 for photographing so that the intensity of the video signals outputted from a photographing element 9 is made constant. The variable attenuater filter 1 for phogographing is disposed in front of an optical lens or between the optical tens and the photographing element 9.
