PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an inclination of a turning member of an auto-tensioner. SOLUTION: An oscillating shaft 40 is fixed to a base 30 and a cup part 52 of the turning member 50 is turnably provided around the oscillating shaft 40. The cup part 52 is opened toward the base 30 and it houses a torsion coil spring 80 for energizing a pulley 60 in a direction tension a belt in its interior. A damping member 90 damping the turning member 50 is fixed to the base 30 and it is adhered closely to an inner circumferential face 52b near an opening of the cup 52 by a ring like spring 92. The damping member 90 frictionally slides against an inner circumferential face 52b during rotation of the turning member 50 and it supports the turning member 50 in a radial direction in a base 30 side by a bearing part 54 supporting the oscillating shaft 40.
