PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a cylinder injection engine, making a correct fuel injection timing in accordance with a difference in engine speed between a time for calculating the fuel injection timing and an actual time for fuel injection, providing reduced exhaust emission substances and improved engine output with stratified combustion at stating the engine, and improving exhaust emission at starting and starting performance. SOLUTION: The control device for the cylinder injection engine having fuel injection devices for performing fuel injection directly into the respective combustion chambers of cylinders comprises means for correcting the fuel injection timing at starting the engine for stratified combustion and means for estimating the engine speed at fuel injection with respect to the engine speed at calculating the fuel injection timing. The fuel injection timing is corrected in accordance with an output signal from the means for estimating the engine speed.
