PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excavating device excellent in serviceability, capable of disposing a pipe material in a natural ground by jacking the excavating device by a fixed push-moving force. SOLUTION: The excavating device having an end fitted with an excavating part 1 is propelled within the natural ground while permitting the natural ground to be excavated by the excavating part 1. The excavating device is constituted as follows: the plural pipe materials 2 different in diameter are installed in a fitted state; the excavating part 1 is installed at the end of the outermostly mounted pipe material 3 having the largest diameter; and the other pipe materials 3 and 5 are slidingly jacked relative to the innermostly mounted pipe material 4 having the smallest diameter in a sliding state.
