PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a false twist textured yarn having a soft touch feeling, stretchability and even dimensional stability, and to provide a method for producing the false twist textured yarn. SOLUTION: This false twist textured yarn is characterized in that the yarn is a filament yarn composed of polytrimethylene terephthalate and subjected to false twist texturing and has primarily twisted and overuntwisted crimps and 200-1,000 turns/m real twists.
