PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article conveying device capable of conveying an article such as a refrigerator placed thereon and placing articles of various shape and sizes while reducing cost. SOLUTION: This article conveying device 10 for conveying articles 200, 300 placed thereon is provided with a load carrying platform 12 for placing the articles 200, 300, and a load carrying platform holding part 14 for holding the load carrying platform 12 in a vertical attitude state when loading the load carrying platform 12 with the articles 200, 300, while allowing the load carrying platform 12 to be also held in a horizontal attitude state when conveying the articles 200, 300 and moreover making the load carrying platform 12 travel by pushing. The load carrying platform holding part 14 has an inclined attitude setting part 60 for holding the articles 200, 300 in an inclined state from the horizontal attitude state.
