1283054 Delayed release medicaments EASTMAN KODAK CO 28 Aug 1969 [10 Sept 1968] 42918/69 Heading A5B Delayed release medicaments in particular veterinary preparations intended to pass through the rumen and to release the medicament in the abomasum, are prepared by coating or mixing the medicament or a composition containing it with a cellulose derivative which is the reaction product of an unsaturated cellulose ester, ether or mixed ester-ether and a cyclic secondary amine, e.g. morpholine, the preparation of which is described in U.S.A. Specification 3514442. A wide range of medicaments are mentioned, e.g. antibiotics (such as chloramphenicol, tetracyclines, erythromycin and zinc bacitracin), sulphonamides, anthelmintics, growth promotors, hormones, vaccines, tranquilizers, antibacterial and antiviral substances and analgesics. |
