PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin material for optical appliance excellent in antistatic performance without decreasing the molding property. SOLUTION: The resin material for an optical appliance contains a fine material 21 comprising a titanium compound and subjected to conducting treatment, by 1 to 40 wt.% in a thermoplastic resin. The fine material 21 consists of titanium oxide or potassium titanate in an acicular or granular form and is subjected to the conducting treatment by coating with a tin oxide-based or carbon-based conductive material. The resin is selected from PC, ABS, PBT and POM. If necessary, a reinforcing material comprising glass fiber or carbon fiber is incorporated by 5 to 30 wt.%.
