PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spherical bearing that does not generate deflective abrasion or burning of a metallic ball receiving part and a ball part and allows light and smooth oscillation and rotation for a long time, even when the ball receiving part and the ball part solidly contact with each other by oil film lack during application of high load, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: This spherical bearing comprises a ball shank 1 having the ball part 10 and a holder 2 that has the ball receiving part 20 for covering the ball part 10 and connects to the ball shank 1 relatively oscillatingly or rotatably. The ball receiving part 20 slides with the ball part 10, and the spherical bearing has a concave metal sliding surface for inseparably covering the ball part 10. A resin liner 5 sliding with the ball part 10 is embedded into the ball receiving part 20 to form a receiving part side sliding surface 22 on which a resin sliding surface continues to the metal sliding surface without clearance.
