摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low power consumption thermal printer. SOLUTION: A receiving section 103 receives command data and a print head 108 is arranged with a plurality of heaters in a row. When the command data is a division print set command, a designated maximum number is stored in a maximum number storage area 112. In case of a print command, a print image is developed into a print buffer 107 and stored. The number of heaters to be driven among the plurality of heaters arranged in a row is acquired from the stored print image. The plurality of heaters are driven by the print image if the stored maximum number is not exceeded otherwise the plurality of heaters arranged in a row are divided such that the number of heaters being driven simultaneously becomes smaller than the stored maximum number before the plurality of heaters are driven by the print image. A sheet feed roller 110 feeds a sheet by only the width of one line of the plurality of heaters.</p>
