PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earthenware pipe for a culvert which prevents the relative displacement of mutually adjacent earthenware pipes for the culvert during embedding and after embedding and improves the water collecting performance in the joint. SOLUTION: An inner periphery side tapered face 14 and a flat end face 16 are formed at one end of a cylindrical body 12 of the earthenware pipe 10 for a culvert and an outer periphery side tapered face 18 and a flat end face 20 are formed at the other end. Irregularities are formed on the oppositely facing tapered faces 14, 18. A water pass to the inside water channel can be formed by forming a groove 22 on the outer peripheral side tapered face 18.
