PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate and simplify the installation work of a temporary guard rail. SOLUTION: There is provided the temporarily constructing long guard rail foundation in which cylinders 4 for fitting supports are attached to specified positions, and a hook 8 is projected at one side end and an engaging groove 9 in which the hook 8 is appropriately fitted is penetratingly provided at the other end. The foundations 1 are mutually connected by fitting the hook 8 of one foundation 1 to the engaging groove 9 of another foundation 1.
