PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-repellent coating composition for glass which is excellent in stability and can form a water-repellent coating film on the surface of glass in the absence an acid catalyst. SOLUTION: The composition comprises a fluorosilane or an alkylsilane as a chief agent and an alkoxide or a chelate of aluminum, zirconium or titanium as a stabilizing agent.
