PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for spray-drying a liquid of an organic dye compound which can obtain a sufficient granule strength without reducing the performance such as hue. SOLUTION: With the use of a fluidized bed spray dryer 1, the spray drying of a liquid of an organic dye compound is carried out under the conditions that the inlet temperature A of hot air is in the range of 100-350 deg.C; the outlet temperature B of hot air is in the range of 50-120o<=; and, simultaneously, the evaporation rate of the water content at the upper part C of the spray dryer is in the range of 10-50 kg/m2 per h.
