PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the accumulation of toner with the lapse of time, which is easily caused on a toner carrying path in the case of using an air pump so as to carry toner, and the lowering of toner carrying ability and toner clogging caused by the accumulation of the toner in an image forming device equipped with a toner carrying mechanism for carrying the toner for replenishment to a developing device from a toner tank arranged at a position separate from the developing device. SOLUTION: This image forming device is equipped with an electrophotographic printer part 3, the toner tank 50 storing the toner with which the developing device 24 provided in the printer part is replenished, a toner replenishing device carrying the toner in the toner tank to the developing device, and a control part controlling the operation of them. The toner replenishing device is equipped with a suction tube 60 for sucking discharged toner from a toner tank exit 50a, a powder pump 61, and a discharge tube 62 arranged between the discharge port of the powder pump and the developing device and carrying the toner to the developing device. The control part performs cleaning operation for removing residual toner in the suction tube, the powder pump and the discharge tube by driving the powder pump in a state where toner discharge operation by a discharge carrying means in the toner tank is stopped. |
