摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiple photon excited fluorescence life time imaging system for realizing a depth two-dimensional fluorescence life imaging which is readily usable at a low cost by combining an ultrashort optical pulse laser, a laser scanning type fluorescence microscope and a fast gating device. SOLUTION: The multiple photon excited fluorescence life time imaging system comprises an ultrashort optical pulse laser generator 1, a laser scanning type fluorescence microscope 4, and fast gating devices 9 and 11 disposed before fluorescence detectors 10 and 12 of the microscope 4. Ultrahigh speed shutters of the gating devices 9 and 11 are clicked in synchronism with an exciting optical pulse from the generator 1, the fluorescence is subjected to time analysis and then introduced into the detectors 10 and 12.
