PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer in which the problem of reservation print that a margin is left at the end part of a sheet when a sheet of longitudinal image is printed on one sheet is eliminated. SOLUTION: The printer for printing record information, e.g. an image picked up by means of an electronic camera, according to print conditions preset on the electronic camera side comprises means 10 for making a decision whether a print object is a multi-image print (PA) for printing a plurality of images on one sheet P or a single image (PC), and a first print processing means T1 performing print while setting such that a 90 deg. rotational command based on the longitudinal and lateral information of an image to be printed acts effectively when a decision is made that the print object is a multi-image print (PA) and performing print while setting such that the 90 deg. rotational command based on the longitudinal and lateral information of an image to be printed becomes invalid when a decision is made that the print object is a single image (PC).
