PURPOSE: A remote monitoring system of a large billboard and a support of a monitoring camera used in the system are provided to cope rapidly with the fire and the failure of the billboard, and to reduce the cost of installation of the billboard. CONSTITUTION: The remote monitoring system of a large billboard comprises at least two supports(3) mounted on a steel frame(2) of the billboard for supporting a camera for filming at least two advertisement planes(1,1'); a remote transmission device for sending digital signals via a pair of telephone wires after modulating the filmed image signals into the digital signals; and a display device. The camera supports are usually projected toward the front side of the advertisement planes, but the supports are able to be retracted not to restrict the movement of a ladder during a repair work.
