PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failure sensing device for a reducing agent supply device for supplying reducing agent to an exhaust gas purifying catalyst, whereby it is practicable to suppress deterioration of the exhaust emission resulting from a leak of the reducing agent, breakage of the catalyst, etc., by establishing a technique to sense the leak of reducing agent. SOLUTION: The failure sensing device of the reducing agent supply device is equipped with an exhaust gas purifying catalyst installed in the exhaust passage of an internal combustion engine for purifying the detrimental gas components in the exhaust gas under existence of reducing agent, a reducing agent supplying mechanism to supply the reducing agent to the portion of exhaust passage located upstream of the catalyst, a pressure sensing means to sense the pressure of reducing agent in the supplying mechanism, and a failure judging means to judge any failure in the supplying mechanism on the basis of the sensed pressure of the reducing agent. |
