摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical multilayered structural body which has a simple structure and is small in size and lightweight, which has latitude for selection of materials, which can fast respond in the visible ray region and which can be preferably used for an image display device. SOLUTION: The optical multilayered structural body 1 has the following structure on a substrate 10. The structure is produced by successively disposing a first layer 11 which absorbs light in contact with the substrate 10, a gap part 12 having an enough size to cause interference of light with the size as variable, and a second layer 13. By changing the size of the gap part 12, the degrees of reflection, transmission or absorption of the incident light can be changed. The substrate 10 is formed, for example, from carbon (C), the first layer 11 is formed from tantalum (Ta) and the second layer 13 is formed from silicon nitride (Si3N4).
