PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive-chargeable electrophotographic photoreceptor which has superior sensitivity, stable potential, whose sensitivity and potential by electrification will not deteriorate, even when images are repeatedly formed over a long period of time and which generates no memory phenomenon, and to provide a method and a device for forming an image and a process cartridge using the electrophotographic photoreceptor. SOLUTION: The charge generating layer of this electrophotographic photoreceptor contains the perylene-mixed pigment, containing one or more metallic atoms as a charge generating material and a polycarbonate resin or a polyarylate resin as a binder resin. At least one of cyclohexanone and toluene is used as the dispersing/applying solvent of the charge-generating layer.
