PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for cutting a deck plate, which is installed easily by a simple device, has a simple structure, can be operated easily even at a construction site and can be manufactured at a low cost and the cost of a series of operation of which can be reduced. SOLUTION: In the method of cutting the deck plate, a cutting hole is bored to a ceiling formed by embedding an embedded metal unified with concrete to the deck plate. The device for cutting the deck plate is secured to the lower section of the ceiling through a tool mounting pedestal. The device for cutting the deck plate is constituted in such a manner that a cutting tool with a rotating blade longer than the irregular height of the deck plate is disposed movably and the deck plate in the lower section of the embedded metal is cut and removed by moving the rotating blade in the lateral direction while being turned.
