PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and inexpensive laser beam scanner for which a low powered laser beam emission source is used. SOLUTION: The laser beam scanner is provided with a beam emission means 1, a rotating polygon mirror 6, and an fθlens 7, and scans a storage media 10 with the light beam. Bending mirrors 5 and 5A, which are reflection members having reflection surfaces curved either concavely or convexedly in the main scanning direction and reflect the light beam on the reflection surfaces while enlarging or converging the light beam in the main scanning direction, are provided in the optical path of the light beam between the beam emission means 1 and the rotating polygon mirror 6.
