PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a square type column combined with the combinations of various kinds of columns fitted to a column to beam joint portion in which the structural type for jointing a beam to the column to beam joint portion and the range of increased thickness can be set thereby determining the column to beam joint portion of the increased thickness reinforcing type can be established. SOLUTION: An increased thickness reinforcing type column to beam joint portion 21 and a square type column 20 of the present invention have coordinates with a width to thickness ratio B/t of the diaphragm reinforcing type column to beam joint portion 2A and a width to thickness ratio B/ti of the increased thickness and reinforced column to beam joint portion 21 as the axis of coordinates on which a width to thickness ratio of a plurality of design values of the column to beam joint portion of the diaphragm type reinforcing type and the width thickness ratio of the column plate thickness ti of the increased thickness reinforcement type column to beam joint portion 21 calculated from the correlation from the existing design values are plotted, structural types of respectively different beam joints are fitted to the first zone restricted by a vertical axis of coordinates and the increased thickness limit line and the second zone restricted by the increased width limit line, and the increased thickness reinforcing type column to beam joint portion 21 is configured in each zone. Also, the range jL of the increased thickness portion of the column to beam joint portion 21 is made larger than (beam depth H+0.2 column width B×2) and the raw pipe portion 22 of the column is welded at the to and bottom and a square column 20 is formed.
