PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording and distributing device and a recording and distributing method capable of accumulating media on which data are recorded by distributing the media to the corresponding storage parts after once collected for each kind and improving disposing efficiency. SOLUTION: The recording and distributing device 1 is furnished with a medium unit 2 to supply the media, a recording unit 4 to record the specified data on the media, a distributing unit 6 to distribute the media on which the data are recorded in accordance with their kinds and a storing unit 8 having a plural number of stackers 9 as destinations to distribute. The data classified to groups by a control device are input to the recording unit 4, and the data of the corresponding groups are recorded on a plural number of the media. The media on which the data are recorded are sequentially loaded on a carriage 11 of the distributing unit 6 and stored in the specified stackers 9 in the lump by making the carriage face against the corresponding stackers 9.
