PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing method and a washing agent capable of easily removing an adhering material adhering to object bodies such as production apparatuses, coating apparatuses and their peripheries after production or use of a moisture-curable composition containing a modified silicone polymer having a hydrolyzable silyl group as a reactive component. SOLUTION: The washing method for a moisture-curable composition containing a polymer having a hydrolyzable silyl group as a reactive component comprises a step of causing a reaction of a washing agent containing a functional group reactive with the hydrolyzable silyl group in the molecule and preferably in liquid phase at a normal temperature with the moisture-curable composition adhering to an object body to which the composition adheres before the moisture-curable composition is cured by moisture. The washing agent is to be employed for the washing method and has the functional group reactive with the hydrolyzable silyl group in the molecule.
