METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DETECTING CONDITION OF MOLD OF INJECTION MOLDING MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting the condition of a mold which is inexpensive and high in reliability and can detect and monitor the change of the mold with the passage of time without fitting a special sensor, etc., to the mold and an apparatus for the method. SOLUTION: A load on a servo-motor which drives a mold opening/closing mechanism part or a product ejection mechanism part is obtained by an external disorder estimation observer. The index (maximum and average values) expressing the load for each molding cycle is obtained and stored. The indices are shown in a graph in Fig. The change of the load with the passage of time is indicated by the graph so that the condition of the mold can be monitored.
