PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve abrasion resistance and mechanical strength and prolong the life without deteriorating the hardness of a pedestal with heat during the welding of a superhard material in the tiptoe of a tool for collecting fishes and shellfishes. SOLUTION: This tool for collecting the fishes and shellfishes is characterized in that the tool comprises the tiptoe obtained by welding an abrasion-resistant material to the pedestal which comprises a special steel composed of 0.30-0.40 mass% of C, 0.15-0.35 mass% of Si, 0.50-0.70 mass% of Mn, <=0.030 mass% of P, <=0.020 mass% of S, 3.00-3.40 mass% of Ni, 0.45-0.70 mass% of Cr, 0.20-0.40 mass% of Mo, <=0.30 mass% of Cu and the balance of Fe and inevitable impurities and is obtained by heating the whole pedestal to a region of an austenitizing temperature, completing the brazing and welding in the temperature region, carrying out a treatment for air-cooling the resultant material to room temperature within 60 min and providing 500-600 HV hardness of the pedestal after the treatment in the tool for collecting the fishes and shellfishes having a structure divided into the tiptoe and a supporting part and binding and holding the tiptoe and supporting part with a binding member.
