BLOOD CIRCUIT CAPABLE OF COPING WITH EMERGENCY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hemodialyzer which can cope with emergencies with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: A blood circuit which is used for the extracorporeal circulation of blood is provided with a by-pass circuit which connects the portion of a artery-side blood circuit near an artery-side connecting section to the portion of a vein-side blood circuit near a vein-side connecting section, a means which can open and close the upstream- and downstream-side portions of the first branch section of the artery-side blood circuit, and a means which can open and close the upstream- and downstream-side portions of the second branch section of the vein-side blood circuit. The blood circuit is also provided with a means which can open and close the by-pass circuit.
