GRANULATION INSTALLATION FOR USED PLASTICS AND ITS OPERATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high productivity granulation installation which is equipped with a ring die granulation machine for efficiently manufacturing granular plastic moldings and thereby, is capable of dealing with the operation of a practical blast furnace as well as its operation method. SOLUTION: A storage device 8 for used plastics 4 which are through with a pretreatment is installed at the line upstream side of a granulation device 5' equipped with the ring die granulation machine and a cooling device 7 for the granular plastic moldings 6 is installed at the line downstream side of the granulation device 5'. In addition, the granulation installation 1 is of such a type that a plurality of the granulation devices 5' and 5" are arranged in parallel. The operation of the installation 1 is started from the line downstream side in each of the devices 5' and 5" and is stopped from the line downstream side in each of the devices 5' and 5" in the automatic start and the automatic stop mode respectively after detecting the fact that specified start and stop conditions are satisfied.
