PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve productivity by dispensing with positioning of a positioning pin upon a change in work type, in a method for mounting workpieces W of a plurality of types with different distances between a first-second pair of positioning holes Wa and Wb, on a carrying truck 1 with a first-second pair of positioning pins 13 and 14 adapted to engage with both positioning holes Wa and Wb of the workpieces W. SOLUTION: The first positioning pin 13 is freely movable relative to the second positioning pin 14. With the workpiece W held by a robot 3, the first positioning hole Wa is engaged with the first positioning pin 13, the first positioning 13 is then displaced by a movement of the robot 3 via the workpiece W to the position where the distance between both first and second positioning pins 13 and 14 is equal to that between both first and second positioning holes Wa and Wb, and the second positioning hole Wb is engaged with the second positioning pin 14.
