The present invention relates to absorbent articles particularly sanitary napkins having film topsheets. In particular a film topsheet receiving the liquids to be absorbed comprises apertures of at least 4 different sizes. Th is range of aperture sizes provides exceptionally good liquid intake performanc e for the range of liquid viscosities commonly found for liquids which are absorbed in sanitary napkins.
