PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for peeling the skins of skin-having root vegetables, vegetables or fruits, by which the skins can surely and efficiently be peeled, without using a large volume of treating water and without relating to the sizes of the articles to be subjected to the skin-peeling treatment, and to provide a device for peeling the skins. SOLUTION: This method for peeling the skins of the skin-having root vegetables, the vegetables or the fruits comprises blasting frozen materials K on articles M to be subjected to the skin-peeling treatment, such as the skin- having root vegetables, the vegetables or the fruits, stirring the articles and the frozen materials, and simultaneously contacting and rubbing the mixture with brushes 6. The device for peeling the skins of the skin-having root vegetables, the vegetables or the fruits comprises a smoothing device 1, a device 11 for blasting the frozen materials, and, if necessary, a device 21 for feeding the articles to be subjected to the skin-peeling treatment. |
