PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient and inexpensive apparatus for dispensing a definite amount of a feed and loaded on an automatic feeding apparatus for feeding to plural cage rows arranged stepwise or in vertical direction. SOLUTION: The apparatus for dispensing definite amount of feed is loaded on an automatic feeding apparatus reciprocating at a definite speed along the longitudinal direction of plural cage rows arranged stepwise or in vertical direction in plural stages. The apparatus is provided with a preliminary dispensing chamber under a hopper and a dispensing rod driving motor fixed on the bottom plate of the dispensing chamber. The rod driving motor rotates the dispensing rod and a feed bridge preventing coil placed in the preliminary dispensing chamber. The bottom plate of the chamber has one or more discharging holes each having a dispensing amount adjusting shutter and the feed circulating in the preparatory dispensing chamber is quantitatively divided by the rotation of the dispensing rod and discharged to a feeding trough.
