PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for regulating the expression of human type II 5α-reductase gene. SOLUTION: A DNA molecule or its variant containing the promoter gene domain of human type II 5α-reductase gene and a method for screening a transcription regulatory substance for type II 5α-reductase by the use of them are provided.
